How do I start the process of making a beverage?
Fill out the form below or call us to tell us about your beverage concept. We will create a proposal based on the kind of drink you want, project requirements and timetable required. After you accept proposal, initial prototypes will be sent to you within 10 business days- that is the Flavorman Guarantee. We use a “funnel” approach during the product development stage; we show you many prototypes initially and narrow the selection as the development progresses. Ultimately, the length of the development stage depends on how long it takes you to select a finished product profile.
Do you charge for product development?
Yes. If you decide to use Flavorman for your beverage concept development, we will submit a project proposal for your review and signature. This proposal outlines the parameters of the project and includes a comprehensive list of services that Flavorman will provide. It also will contain a project fee. This fee covers a small portion of the resources used to develop your beverage. The fee depends on the complexity of the project, the timetable required and the desired ingredients for inclusion.
How long does it take to get a product to market?
It depends on how long the product development cycle takes. Flavorman has worked on timelines as short as 90 days from concept to production of the finished commercial product; however, this is not the norm. Very complicated projects that present challenging stabilizations, can take longer than simple projects. On average, most customers have their first commercial production six to eight months after the project proposal is signed.
When can we start?
Once your project has been discussed and the proposal has been signed, you will talk to one of our product development specialists, who will be your project leader. They will walk you through the development process and also will send you samples 10 business days from when you sign the proposal! The process is amazingly quick!
How much product do I need to make?
Parallel to the liquid development, Flavorman’s team of experts will identify co-packers that are able to run your product. Minimums vary between contract manufacturing facilities, but you will need to be prepared to sell thousands of cases of finished product. Each case will contain between 12 and 24 units (depends on type of packing). Volumes depend on the type of packaging, time of year and co-packer scheduling.
