History

Flavored Waters

Flavored water takes water from its purest form and adds natural or synthetic ingredients to enhance its taste. Enhanced water beverages first hit the shelves in the early 2000s. Whether sparkling or flat, fruity or flavorless, these products arose to meet consumer demands for healthier, lower-calorie drink options, and pioneering brands are continuing to pop up across the country. With consumer demand still on the rise, consider working with Flavorman on your next flavored water product to enhance your line and propel your company into an innovative future.

Key Considerations

  1. Most people are still unaware of the benefits of enhanced water which provides a unique opportunity to educate consumers on these products’ benefits and how they can improve their health. Use your website, social media, and email to complement your enhanced water marketing strategy and communicate the unique benefits of your products. You can also partner with health professionals, fitness instructors, and social media influencers to get your products in front of potential new customers.
  2. A limitation of enhanced water is that it can be expensive compared to regular water, and the added ingredients may not always or accurately provide additional health benefits.
  3. Flavored and other enhanced waters are drinks marketed as water with added functional ingredients and typically contain a combination of natural and artificial flavors, sweeteners, and color to deliver a truly unique experience. Many consumers today prefer enhanced water over regular water, considering the plethora of flavor possibilities out there— functionality is just a plus!
